Colorado Organizations


The organizations listed below provide opportunities to take part in simulations of democratic processes and procedures or to experience these processes and procedures in “real life.”


• Center for Education in Law and Democracy (CELD) sponsors the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution program (simulated legislative hearing) and Colorado Project Citizen (policy analysis and advocacy) in Colorado. For more information, contact Jackie Johnson or Barbara Miller.

• Colorado Bar Association Public Education Committee sponsors the mock trial competition in Colorado. For more information, contact Carolyn Ferber.
• Colorado Close Up offers a field experience in Colorado government for high school students. For more information, contact Dale Greenawald.
